Staff Project Management Engineer The Staff Project Management Engineer is responsible for managing and leading engineering projects within the supply chain, ensuring effective planning, execution, and continuous improvement while aligning with corporate quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities Lead engineering projects ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives.
Develop and execute detailed project plans using standard project management tools (charter, Gantt chart, etc.).
Prepare and review capital & expense forecasts for assigned projects.
Prepare capital authorization requests.
Report status on assigned projects in various formats to various organizational levels.
Manage the NCR and CAPA process by documenting, investigating, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for product non‐conformances.
Ensure effective use of engineering and quality systems and adherence to quality system regulations.
Ensure all OSHA and J & J machine guarding requirements are met.
Follow the BWI design control process for all applicable projects.
Perform process validations on new, transferred, or modified processes.
Ensure compliance with the quality policy in all activities.
Support and promote the safety and industrial hygiene objectives of the plant.
Utilize Process Excellence methodology and tools to identify and implement improvement projects geared toward reducing cost, eliminating scrap, improving quality, and minimizing cycle time.
Establish specific manufacturing capability technology to support transfers and new product introductions.
Provide specific technical expertise to support special projects, pilot operations, product and process improvements; and also provide input to develop capital expense forecasts and equipment/spare part budgets to support business needs.
Provide support to product inquiry investigations.




Sustain supply chain continuity by qualifying and validating supplier tooling as per component approval procedures.
Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs.
Host project meetings at least once a week with the team and managers.
Provide feedback, advice, project updates, and encouragement to team members.
Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness.
Demonstrate leadership qualities, such as motivation techniques and conflict‐management.
Maintain computer literacy for spreadsheet and word processing software.
Apply time‐management skills, especially familiarity with calendar management and goal setting.
Familiarize with the work being done by each team member.
Communicate business‐related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
Follow all company guidelines related to health, safety, and environmental practices as applicable.
For those who supervise or manage a staff, ensure that subordinates follow all company health, safety, and environmental guidelines and that all needed resources are available and in good condition.
Ensure personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
Perform other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications / Requirements A minimum bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
Approximate 8 to 10 years of experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities.




Ability to solve equipment problems related to engineering elements.
Interpretation skills of performance metrics such as OEE, downtime, yield, and others.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (preferably).
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Deep knowledge of manufacturing activities, roles, and their supply chain end‐to‐end impact.
Bilingual: Spanish / English (preferably).
Personal computer skills.
Use of measurement equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
Experience or related training working with good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Ability to work various shifts or overtime when necessary.
Strong ability to work under pressure and achieve good results individually and as part of a team.
Manufacturing experience in the medical industry (preferably).
Six Sigma or Lean certification as Green Belt or Black Belt is preferred.
Project management experience or background.
