Job Purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Systems Test Automation Engineer. The Systems Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for executing System and Software Verification tasks including developing automated test scripts, debugging automated test scripts, and participating in software release activities for the Electrification product line.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automation test scripts for electrical bench, Power HiL, HV Integration, Dyne, and motor simulation benches.
- Execute regression tests, debug failures, report results and create issues in defect tracking tool.
- Follow automation process workflow as defined for Systems Test Automation.
- Follow Defect Tracking Process as defined.
- Updating test cases in requirement tracking tool for traceability.
- Writing test specifications/plans for customer projects.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree required in “an Engineering Discipline” Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- 1+ years’ experience a Test/Validation or Systems Engineering role, however, preference will be given to those with 3+ years’ experience.
- Experience with some the following tools:
- TestStand
- LabView
- VeriStand
- ECU Test
- Vector CanOE, CanALYZER, CAPL scripting, etc.
- ETAS
- MatLab
- Experience with CAN, XCP,



LIN or FlexRay
- Interpret Frames and signals in CAN DBC or ARXML files
- Experience writing Python, C#, or similar Programming languages
- Experience configuring and using NI PXI hardware test platforms
- Experience reporting issues in Defect Tracking Process Tools, e.g., JIRA, DOORS, Git, etc.
- Experienced in developing Automated Tests Cases/Scripts based on requirements or acceptance criteria.
- Experienced in Executing Automated Tests on different environments e.g., Vehicle, Bench, HIL.
- Collaborative, team player, and display a high level of maturity
- Likes challenging problems with strong problem-solving skills
