At COFICAB, we are looking for a strategic and customer-oriented Quality Manager to lead our Quality function within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
This position plays a key role in ensuring product quality, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and compliance with international automotive standards. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, lead a high-performing Quality team, and serve as the voice of the customer within the plant.

Key Responsibilities Lead and continuously improve the Plant Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO standard, VDA requirements, and customer-specific requirements.
Ensure product conformity throughout the entire manufacturing process, from incoming materials to finished goods.
Oversee supplier quality performance, incoming inspection activities, and supplier corrective actions.
Drive customer satisfaction by leading customer complaint resolution, ensuring timely 8D reports, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
Act as the primary customer quality representative, supporting customer audits, visits, and quality reviews.
Coordinate internal, external, certification, and customer audits while ensuring effective implementation of corrective action plans.
Lead the implementation and execution of Automotive Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
Develop, monitor,
and communicate Quality KPIs while identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing performance and product quality.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, reduce waste, improve efficiency, and strengthen customer confidence.
Prepare and manage the annual Quality budget and departmental objectives aligned with the plant's strategic goals.
Build, coach, and develop a high-performing Quality organization through effective leadership and talent development.
Ensure compliance with Product Safety requirements (PSCR), Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), and corporate policies.
Education Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
Master's Degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is considered an asset.
Experience Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Manager in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary Quality teams.
Strong customer-facing experience with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 customers.
Experience managing quality systems in high-volume manufacturing operations.
Technical Knowledge
IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA standards.
Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans).
Problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, Root Cause Analysis).
Manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
Risk Management and Project Management.
Product Safety (PSCR).
ERP and MES systems.
Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Requirements Fluent English and Spanish.
Availability to travel
Schedule flexibility according to business needs.
