Your mission, roles and responsibilities Main responsibilities Responsible for driving and ensuring that technical and manufacturing solution meets or exceeds the customer and FCM objectives/targets. Maintains smooth relationship with plants , ensuring projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with FCM policies and objectives. Manages, coaches and leads the process engineers, manages technical work packages, and sets objectives for all team members. Responsibilities also include obtaining desired profit, quality, delivery, and technical targets.
Leads and directs the establishment of process direction. Directs engineering efforts using available data and development tools. Reviews and approves all phases of Manufacturing Line and T&E; Definition. Ensures process meets the customer and FCM specification-commodity specifications
Responsible for ensuring the technical portion of programs are delivered on time, within budgets, to the satisfaction of the customer
Keeps plants and FCM management informed of process status. Identifies and develops critical contacts at the plant. Understands the customer and their systems as well as FCM. Fulfills internal and customer quality requirement. Ensures customer and internal timing.
Ensures the accuracy of engineering MBOM and Investment List.
Assists with the internal performance targets of the system such that external targets will be met.
Responsible for leading development of specific APQP documents, PFMEA, Investment List, Industrial Timing.
Ensures physics are applied and understood
Ability to interface with plant contacts and provide high levels of customer representation
Fundamental for success is the individual’s ability to lead, direct, and motivate team to achieve targets: Gross margin, investments, T&E;&G; budget,
start up costs, quality, delivery, etc.
Able to relate theory to day‑to‑day applied practices (i.e. unrelenting need to understand why a process works)
Uses relevant data driven methodology to make decisions
Ability to look at all problems from a systems approach
Problem solving techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The Process Engineering Manager has authority to make process changes as appropriate.
