About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operations Lead to join our team. This role will report into the Service Delivery Manager - Network Operations. The Network Operations Lead Engineer will be an integral part of Americas Infrastructure Group and work closely with all IT Pillars teams by providing expertise, troubleshooting and operational support for Americas Zone Network Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be motivated and a detail‑oriented professional who will be part of the core team that provides end‑to‑end support for SDWAN, SPLUNK, Zscaler, Network Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto), Cloud Connectivity, Cisco Wireless and Cisco Meraki based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- In depth / hands‑on knowledge of servers, firewalls, switches, wired, and wireless network protocols.
- Troubleshoot issues in the operational infrastructure and applications, including follow‑up problem resolution, root cause analysis and process improvement.
- Work with General Operations team to steer AMER Zone related incidents and provide faster resolutions.
- Extensive knowledge with SPLUNK monitoring tools.
- Develop and maintain key indicators and alerts ensuring critical infrastructure services to meet service level agreements and availability time.
- Communicate network related issues, failures, and potential impact to hardware or software to superiors.
- Architect a robust server, cloud, network, and wireless environment aligned with strategic business requirements.
- Incorporate cybersecurity into our network and infrastructure operations, including application of patches, hot fixes,
and upgrades on a regular and timely basis.
- Experience with the planning, design and the implementation of network enhancements and new capabilities.
- Provide guidance on the architecture and design of networks supporting both Enterprise IT and OT devices.
- Manage projects in an Agile Methodology ensuring timely delivery and documentation.
- Develop, schedule, test and communicate the IT Disaster Recovery plan and procedures.
- Incorporate cybersecurity best practices to all aspects of the network and infrastructure.
- Author and edit SOPs (Statements of Procedures) and system documentation and ensure they are properly updated to reflect current status or changes.
- Collaborate with the helpdesk, application, and cyber teams to support diverse business initiatives.
- Prioritizes work efforts to balance operational tasks, remediating technical debt, and long‑term strategic initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Monitor daily backup operations, ensuring all data resiliency and availability.
- Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require.
- Ability to work in a VUCA environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player with a high level of initiative.
- Good written/oral communication, presentation, interactive skills with team across geography.
- Works well under pressure and meets deadlines & flexible to work either independently or with a team.
What we are looking for
- 10+ years’ overall experience building and supporting largescale, business critical network infrastructure.
- 5+ years of experience in the IT industry in Network operations role.
- 3+ years of experience in supporting Cisco Wireless infrastructure.
- Experience with any of the major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible is a plus.
- CCNP Certification is Mandatory. CCIE is preferred.
- Ekahau (ECSE) Wireless Certification is a plus.
- Palo Alto / Fortinet Certifications is a plus.
