A Mexican business group operating in the Oil & Gas, maritime services, and complex project sectors is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization’s financial strategy.
Position Objective
Lead the company’s financial strategy and ensure its profitability, liquidity, and long-term sustainability, actively contributing to business decisions, investment evaluations, financing structures, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute the group’s financial strategy.
- Lead financial planning, treasury, cash flow, budgeting, and profitability management.
- Evaluate investments, CAPEX projects, and growth opportunities.
- Structure financing and manage relationships with banks, investors, and strategic partners.
- Present financial results, forecasts, and business scenarios to the Board of Directors.
- Oversee financial, tax, regulatory, and contractual risks.
- Strengthen corporate governance, internal controls, and financial discipline.
- Lead multidisciplinary finance teams across multiple business entities.
- Participate in strategic negotiations, partnerships, acquisitions, and new projects.
Essential Requirements
- Proven executive experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent senior leadership role.
- Solid experience in the Oil & Gas, energy, offshore services, or related industries.
- Strong expertise in financing, treasury, financial planning, project evaluation, and CAPEX management.
- Ability to translate financial information into strategic and operational decisions.
- Experience working directly with Boards of Directors and senior leadership teams.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or postgraduate degree is desirable.
- Availability to work on-site in Mexico City and Villahermosa, with frequent travel between both locations.
