**Summary**:
The General Manager has overall operations responsibility for the P&L; with focus on cost management, planning, strategic direction, customer focus and delivery of products and services safely in a site.
Inspires people and provides financial leadership to grow both revenues and profit performance and to improve the quality of products and services, while keeping cost at the forefront of the site teams.
Builds customer loyalty and inspires all site Celestica employees to exceed customer expectations and hit Celestica goals and targets.
Anticipates and/or designs future change and implements through rapid sustainable change to achieve above average standards of customer satisfaction.
**Detailed Description**:
1. Has overall P&L; responsibility for site operations.
Work requires investigating and resolving SIOP issues and re-energizing the team to support growth with an efficient manufacturing system.
2. Prioritizes safety within all elements of planning and operational execution to ensure all employees are working in a safe environment.
3. Requires excellent understanding of a manufacturing cost center P&L;
4. Requires developing new strategies, policies, practices, methods, programs or techniques and utilizing them to analyze and interpret difficult problems or situations and/or establishing new strategic direction that is site or multi-site specific.
5. LEAN implementation with Kaizens and visual management.

Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
7. Excels in perfect on time and on budget execution.
8. Has overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods and employees in a functional area.
9. Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters in area of responsibility to ensure achievement of objectives.
Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of business unit operations.
10. Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers.
11. Assigns objectives, reviews performance and approves employee compensation, coaches for improved performance.
12. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers.
13. The role has a very strong customer interaction for deliveries, quality and price.
14. May represent the organization in public speaking venues and/or community events.
15. Manages all functions including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain with a strong focus on quality and inventory and materials management.
16. Manages dotted line relationships with Finance, Human Resources, IT, and other support functions.
17. Provide functional direction to all indirect areas supporting site business.
Manages the facility with responsibility for the operations of the building including maintenance, security, safety, cleanliness, etc.

Provides clear and consistent communication to all employees regarding company and site goals and objectives, as well as current status of business.
19. Manages transitions to new scales of operations.
20. Manage New Product Introductions and Product Transfers.
21. Understands the business opportunities or conditions that drive high utilization for the facility and using the appropriate judgement to make the right selection.
22. Balances the creation of an empowered culture with the need to follow up closely enough to ensure high standards of execution.
23. Instills in the management team a focus on Operations Excellence through flawless execution i.e., detail and discipline in an environment of increasing complexity by utilizing World Class Manufacturing practices and 6 Sigma quality initiatives.
24. Has extensive experience as a Lean practitioner.
25. Applies best practices aligned to the appropriate operations model(s) for the facility.
26. Regularly interacts with all site employees, both Indirect and Direct Labor personnel
