Job description:
**Job Title**: Procurement Engineer / Global Buyer
**Experience**: 2-4 Years
**Education**: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
**Location**: Manzaneros 1918 Col, Sandra Lucía, 32530 Juárez, Chih., Mexico
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Source and evaluate global suppliers to ensure best cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to determine procurement needs
- Manage procurement process from RFQ to purchase order issuance and delivery tracking
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to meet project timelines
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed
- Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays
- Support new product introductions and localization of parts




**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement, general sourcing, or supply chain
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of international trade regulations is a plus
