Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Architect for an entry-level support role with a thriving architecture and design firm. This fully remote position is designed as an apprenticeship, where you will learn under a senior architect and existing in-house staff to eventually master repetitive, high-volume production tasks. You will be assigned to a dedicated team focusing on commercial build-outs (such as retail coffee shops), making this an adecuado role for a recent graduate looking to grow their skills in a professional studio environment while working on real project work.
Key Responsibilities Drafting & Production Support: Create, edit, and update architectural drawings and drafts using CAD software and Revit, focusing on repetitive production tasks for dedicated commercial build-outs.
Task Management: Work collaboratively on a shared task queue alongside the senior architect and the dedicated project team to keep fast-paced projects moving.
Training: Actively participate in apprentice-style mentoring from senior hires and in-house staff to rapidly level up your skills within the first few months.
Design Support: Assist with the preparation of construction documents, floor plans, and design layouts.
Revisions & Redlines: Support the design team with structural revisions, redlines, and overall drawing coordination.
File Management: Maintain highly organized digital files and enforce version control for all CAD deliverables.
Research:
Assist with basic design research and related documentation as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications Education: A Bachelor's degree in Architecture is strictly required (licensure is not required; recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply).
Revit Experience: Foundational proficiency and hands-on experience using Revit for architectural drafting and modeling is required. Early-stage skill levels are acceptable as dedicated ramp-up time and training are built into the role.
Drafting Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of industry-standard architectural drafting conventions.
Accuracy: Strong attention to detail and pinpoint accuracy when generating technical drawings.
Adaptability: Proven ability to follow directions closely, incorporate structural feedback efficiently, and thrive in an apprentice-style learning environment.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for remote collaboration.
Remote Infrastructure: Must have a dedicated home office setup with a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
Schedule & Work Arrangement Employment Type: Full-time position (40 hours per week).
Days: Monday through Friday.
Working Hours: US Business Hours (CST)
Location: 100% Fully Remote.
