TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage.
They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S;, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.
**What your background should look like**:
**Description**
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations
- Analyze workflow, labor and equipment to maximize efficiency
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs
- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Establishing and operating the plant in a safe and environmentally sound manner and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Preparing an annual operating plan, budget and direct all facility expenditures in line with the plan.
- Driving Performance Management and key Human Resources goals in line with the BU strategy
- Driving Continuous Improvement in line with strategy
- Ensuring that the plant is maintained in accordance with the Operational and Manufacturing procedures and best practices within the Business Unit.




- Operate the plant in such a manner to optimize environmental conditions and best practices.
- Hire, train and lead the Operational and Manufacturing employees whilst balancing the activities and function of all facility employees, according to business needs and growth.
- Establish and implement systems to log, track, trend and forecast essential parameters of plant technical and financial performance.
**What your background should look like**:
- 5+ years experience working as an Operational/Plant Leader with proven experience
- Bachelors or Master's degree
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure, effectively managing competing priorities with available resources.
- Experienced in leading and creating a high performing team.
- Accustomed to having full responsibility for P&L;/site and overseeing key departments including Production, Planning, Warehouse, EHS, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Tooling, Maintenance and Continuous Improvement
- Good knowledge of all business processes along the value Chain, their interaction and impact on Operational results
- Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and Continuous Improvement (5S, Six Sigma)
- Strong oral and written communications
