The Sr.
Buyer position will be responsible for negotiating and buying high and low-voltage wiring harness, power distribution, connectors and other electrical components in support of the Electrical Wiring Purchasing organization.
The duties include management of the sourcing process, developing and implementing creative solutions to complex challenges, capacity and cost management, and PO/ contract administration.
This includes but is not limited to: Selecting suppliers, placing purchase orders, managing complex contracts, interfacing with internal and external customers, managing key Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier relationships,



and developing commodity strategies.
**Requirements**:
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Bachelors in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or another related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or other disciplines that require negotiation and/or exposure to sourcing/project management/cost management processes
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and be able to effectively interface with cross functional teams and all levels of senior management
- Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations
- Able to multi-task at highest levels in order to handle numerous matters through completion
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to think and act strategically
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office programs
- Analytical and presentation skills
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- MBA, Masters in Engineering, Masters in Economy/Finance/Accounting
- Previous Automotive Purchasing Experience
