Position Description Summary
Establish, implement and manage according to the guidelines and policies of the company all the measures to optimize the production processes.
Provide the technological and economical information to establish new processes and production alternatives.
Plan production capacities; optimize the supply chain logistics, internal movements at Santa Clara Covestro plant and the final shipping to the customer.
Handle all the processes in the plant giving priority to the HESSQ aspects.
Follow up and track the maintenance programs in the plant to reach time, costs and quality required.
Following up on raw material purchase and finished product planning, also authorizes raw material purchase requisitions.
Ensure proper functioning over SAP, Glamur and OEE platforms in Production and taking necessary measures based on the results.
Major Tasks & responsibilities:
- Direct & Manage the production (Base Poliol, Blends & Formulations, Prepolimers & Poliester) at Santa Clara Covestro Manufacturing Site.
- Cost-management/economic feasibility responsible.
- Make sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
- Participation in development and implementation of plant modifications and capital investment projects.
- Implementation of technical measures regarding plant safety, occupational safety, environmental protection, etc., generating and updating safety instructions, plant operating procedures and instructions.
- Managing the safe operation of production facilities.




- Managing the needed resources to fulfill with the marketing and HESSQ requirements.
- Assure compliance with HESSQ policies & Core Process in production Santa Clara site and following up on the KPIs set up for environmental protection, health and safety in production area.
- Following up on raw material purchase and finished product delivery logistics, authorizes raw material purchase requisitions.
- Coordinating, together with TSM&E;, preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Authorizes the projects for minor investments, authorizes also purchase requisitions.
- Assure proper functioning over SAP, Glamur, OEE platforms and taking necessary measures based on the results.
- To assure that the process and service water that leaves the production plant fulfill with the Mexican norms.
- Working out the human and material resources needed.
Value Added:
- Ensure the proper functioning of the Core Process in production plant.
- Improvement: Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and products through the optimization of formulations and their improvement.
- Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programs Leading and managing the monitoring of production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.
- Implementing and monitoring HESSQ policies so as to achieve the expected results set in the HESSQ KPIs.
- Process improvement to obtain economic and environmental benefits.




- Having operational personnel to manufacture products on time, in the quantity and quality required and at a cost that permits to obtain the expected profit margin through the proper administration of the plant.
- Reach level zero of environmental and industrial accidents, 1st aid cases and loose of primary containments at the site.
- Reach no quality issues at the plant.
- Keep a good organizational climate with transparent relation to labor union and the employees.

Internal
- Maintenance: Programming preventive and corrective maintenance and approving purchases.
- Technical Assistance Laboratory: Receiving results from product evaluation and acting upon non-conforming products.
- Laboratory: Monitoring routine analysis in order to facilitate operations.
- AD: work together to see the possibility of manufacturing new products.
- Sales: Fulfilling orders, scheduling production, giving heed to product quality issues, addressing complaints and taking into considerations customers' needs.
- Controlling: Receiving and analyzing reports.
- TSM& Engineering: Following up on projects and coordination of activities.
- Environmental protection: Carrying out the worker exposure to work environments program and the delivery of hazardous materials for their disposal.
- Safety: - Creating / approving risk safety analysis, receiving guidelines and reporting results.
- Tech Center Pittsburgh: Managing improvements.
- Purchasing department: Follow up and track raw materials for sale of used assets, materials and to see contracts.
