Quality Cell Leader – Special Processes & NDT
About the Role
Are you ready to be the ultimate guardian of aviation safety on the shop floor?
We are looking for a highly technical, detail-oriented Quality Cell Leader to oversee and guarantee the technical integrity of aerospace components.
In this role, you will lead a team of specialized cell inspectors, including handlingNon-Destructive Testing (Ultrasonic Testing), Airflow testing, Heat Treating, and Aerospace Welding under strict international standards (AS****, FAA, EASA, AFAC, CAAC).
Key Responsibilities
Lead Special Processes & NDT: Supervise Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspections, validate technical airflow benchmarks, and monitor heat treating and aerospace welding operations.
Equipment & Calibration Control: Ensure all inspection systems, airflow benches, furnaces, and IM&TE; tools hold valid calibrations before every shift.
Regulatory Compliance & Release: Validate release documentation and technical data packages to guarantee total aerospace traceability for international export.
Audit & Quality Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact on the floor during customer, and civil aviation authority audits.
Lead root-cause analysis (8Ds, 5 Whys) for cell deviations.
Culture & Safety: Foster an unyielding culture of aviation safety, 5S compliance, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) mitigation.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
Education: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Open to sharp Recent Graduates with strong academic background in materials/NDT OR professionals with 1+ years of experience in MRO/Aerospace manufacturing environments.
Technical Skills:
Theoretical understanding of Ultrasonic Testing (UT) principles.
Ability to interpret complex blueprints, GD&T;, and technical manuals (CMM, AMM, SPM).
Basic knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment behavior, and aerospace welding acceptance criteria.
Languages: Advanced English (B2/C1) is mandatory (all technical data, OEM manuals, and international audits are handled in English).
Fluent Spanish.
