Role Description The Life Builders & Project Facilitator (Middle School) is a full-time, on-site role dedicated to guiding students through the Skills Builder framework and the Project Approach . In this role, all sessions are conducted entirely in English, focusing entirely on practical life skills, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving rather than traditional grammar.
Your daily responsibilities will include facilitating dynamic workshops, guiding students through hands-on research and community/personal problem-solving projects, and fostering emotional intelligence. You will act as a close, empathetic mentor who supports adolescents through reflection, active listening,
and constructive feedback. You will also collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to align initiatives with universal values and school goals.
What We Are Looking For in You (Qualifications):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Pedagogy, Social Sciences, or a related field (teaching certification is a plus).
- Language: Native or advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (indispensable, as the subject is taught in English).
- Experience: Relevant teaching or facilitation experience working with middle school adolescents; experience in constructivist, competency-based models, or project-based learning is a strong advantage.
- Key Skills: * Demonstrated ability to build soft skills such as communication, problem-solving, decision-making, resilience, and teamwork among adolescents.
- Strong classroom facilitation, group management, and conflict-resolution skills in diverse, inclusive environments.
- Capacity to foster emotional intelligence and model universal values, including empathy, respect, and responsibility.
- Personality: An empathetic, charismatic, and creative professional who loves challenges, loves guiding students through reflection, and wants to leave a positive mark on the next generation.
