**About the Role**

As a member of the LatAm Safety Ops team you will play an active role in making Uber safer for everyone who uses our platform. We are searching for a highly motivated individual to support the LatAm Safety Ops team to use data to answer relevant business questions, solve problems, and improve processes.
**What you will do?**
- Understand the analytics needs of internal stakeholders and provide them with solutions that meet those needs.
- Navigate Uber's databases to find the data you need to solve the problem at hand.
- Support team members with rigorous analysis on how a feature is performing.
- Monitor existing features' efficiency metrics and report in case something is off.
- Communicate your findings verbally, visually, and in writing.
**What do you need?**
- **Working knowledge of SQL is a must.**:
- **Advanced level of spoken and written English (B2 or above).**:
- Ability to work with numbers, spreadsheets, models, and data visualizations.




- Solid understanding of statistical fundamentals: descriptive statistics, probability distributions, tests of hypotheses, confidence intervals, regressions, and experiments.
- Written and verbal communication
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders coming from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Organization and learning
- Attention to detail: the team must be able to rely on your work with confidence.
- Ability to work autonomously, and to learn new tools on your own.
- Creative problem solving: you don't give up on the first attempt. Rather, you explore multiple possibilities to solve a problem.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor in Economics, or Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Business.
- 2+ years of experience in a data-oriented role in operations, consulting, analytics, or a related field.
- Experience working with Python (Libraries: pandas, numpy, etc & API's)
- Experience working with R
- Experience working with Automation Tasks (using Python) and Github
