Job Summary
The Lean Six Sigma SME II will support the site or Regional Operations Leadership to drive improvement in all areas of Jabil’s Operations working with the Site Finance, all Management functions and the Plant Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Managers and support Operations Management in identifying improvement opportunities that enhance the site and Jabil’s performance. This position requires to effectively mentoring at all levels of the organization while exceeding both bottom line and people development within area of expertise.
Lead as Subject Matter Expert in all global & regional lean six sigma systems and applications
Lead as Subject Matter Expert in all lean six sigma principles and practices
Communicate to all regional teams key lean six sigma metrics
Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the lean six sigma team & other functional engineering teams as needed
Ensure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional and site direction
Develop new lean six sigma best practices with supporting data to Regional and Global lean six sigma teams to optimize existing best practices
Link between strategic vision and tactical implementation for the site
Be the architect and leader of lean transformation efforts
Enable the implementation of lean six sigma plans directed at the achievement of the organization’s purpose
Set key metrics to gauge lean six sigma maturity within the organization
Ensure alignment and synchronization of Jabil’s Lean Six Sigma mission/vision/purpose that support business plans
Deploying organization design to foster continuous improvement and human development
Develop standardised policies and procedures with Regional Lean Six Sigma Managers
Integrate lean six sigma principles, values, philosophies and tools for driving improvement
Encourage risk taking and experimentation using the scientific method within the organization
Establish processes, systems and enablers to create a learning organization
Ensure that the process supersedes the leader – creating an environment where leadership changes are non-disruptive to the process
Establish and drive programs and processes for people development and leadership development
Provide remote or direct support for sites in Lean Six Sigma Management transition
Eliminating barriers by enabling effective communication about lean six sigma strategy & deployment
Communicate Jabil’s lean six sigma vision and strategy to all in the organization
Reach out to leadership to ensure understanding of lean six sigma
Communicate a sense of urgency throughout the organization around the need for “Continuous Improvement”
Foster respect for people and humility as they mentor and coach others on their lean journey
Being the subject matter experts in lean six sigma principles, values, philosophies and tools
Be a “leader as teacher/mentor/coach”
Establish mechanisms to teach, mentor and learn lean six sigma within the organization
Lead by example and model the desired behaviors and corporate values
Establish people development-education, motivation, empowerment and involvement
Encourage cross training, skills assessment, instructional goals, on-the-job training, teamwork, information sharing, suggestion systems and others to foster lean six sigma within the organization
emain up to date on latest trends in lean manufacturing through benchmarking and participation in various Leanconsortiums

Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Sr Lean Six Sigma Manager, Sr Operations Manager.
Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).
Job Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Experienced in change management, project management and financial management
Qualified & experienced trainer
Excellent Leadership and communication skills
Track record showing continual improvement of personal skills
Proficient and knowledgeable in all areas related to operations
Results-driven change agent
Ability to effectively communicate in all media forms and cross-culturally
Ability to influence all levels of the Jabil organization

Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
Be expert in lean tools and processes to coordinate and share knowledge on a regional scale
Education & Experience Requirements
At least 12 years of working experience with 7 years of experience in Lean Six Sigma area or related field
Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt certified by recognized organizations in the industry (e.g. ASQ, SME, Shingo Prize)
Lean Certified Project and facilitation experience in a heavily matrixed environment
Experience in change management
Or a combination of education, experience and/or training
