We need your expertise to help power the next generation of AI. If you are a Swahili language expert, you will work closely with advanced language models, testing and improving their performance on a variety of linguistic and cultural tasks.

Responsibilities

- Converse with the model on language scenarios, verify factual accuracy and logical soundness, capture reproducible error traces, and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
- Challenge advanced language models on topics such as noun classes, verb conjugation, sentence structure, idiomatic expressions, tone and pronunciation, and cultural nuances—documenting every failure mode so we can harden model reasoning.




- Document and report failure modes and provide actionable feedback to improve model performance.

Qualifications

- Master’s or PhD in Swahili language, linguistics, or a closely related field.
- Peer‑reviewed publications, translation experience, or hands‑on linguistic analysis projects.
- Clear, metacognitive communication skills; ability to "show your work".

Compensation

Pay range of $8 to $65 per hour, based on experience, expertise, and geographic location. Contractor role; not eligible for company‑sponsored benefits such as health insurance or PTO.
