Role Summary Our client, a transportation and logistics company that provides freight services and sells and leases equipment, is looking for a proactive Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online. You’ll keep the books accurate and up to date and work with the team to make sure receipts and expenses submitted through the company’s internal app are posted to the right accounts.
? Key Responsibilities
- Record and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online across freight services, equipment sales, and equipment leasing.
- Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and correct misclassified transactions.
- Review receipts and expenses submitted by drivers and employees, including recurring costs such as fuel, and follow up on missing documentation.
- Work with the team to define and test rules that route transactions from the internal app to the correct QuickBooks accounts.
- Flag unclear transactions and syncing issues early so the team can resolve them.
- Keep supporting documentation organized and the books ready for review by the accounting team.
✅ Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including transaction categorization and account reconciliations.
- Ability to manage daily bookkeeping independently and follow through on open items.
- Clear, proactive communication, including asking questions early and following up on missing information.
- Willingness to learn the company’s internal app and improve how transactions flow into QuickBooks.

- Bookkeeping experience in transportation, trucking, or logistics.
- Experience tracking recurring operating expenses, such as fuel, or handling equipment sales and leasing transactions.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks integrations, receipt capture tools, or bookkeeping automation.
- Experience applying U.S. GAAP in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
