SageSure is seeking a Software Engineer, Specialty (Contractor) to support a cross-functional team of product developers, actuaries, catastrophe risk modelers, underwriters, and data analysts. In this role, you will maintain and enhance technology critical to product development, risk management, and underwriting execution within a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance.
You will work on developing and integrating solutions using RESTful APIs, automating key business processes through services and scheduled jobs, and maintaining in-house desktop applications including WinForms or WPF applications. Collaboration with the database administrator and software engineers will be essential to ensure data integrity, application reliability, and optimal system performance.
We are looking for a professional with 7 to 10 years of software engineering experience, strong expertise in ASP.NET, C#, .NET, jQuery, React, and relational databases such as SQL and PostgreSQL. Experience with MVVM design patterns, process automation, and API integration is required, while knowledge of ArcGIS, Python, and insurance industry experience will be highly valued.
