– Materials Planning & Supply Chain Superintendent

Lead and coordinate production planning, materials management, and logistics operations, ensuring the timely and efficient supply of materials at plant and interplant levels to support production schedules and meet internal and external customer requirements.

Develop and implement strategic initiatives for materials planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization, ensuring operational continuity, maximizing resource utilization, and minimizing risks associated with material shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and coordinate production planning, materials management, and logistics activities, ensuring resource availability to meet customer requirements and production commitments.
2. Develop and implement materials planning and inventory management strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence.
3. Monitor supplier delivery capabilities and internal production capacity, establishing contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks and accommodate increases in customer demand.
4. Ensure operational continuity through proactive management of critical materials, recovery plans, and supply risk mitigation strategies.
5. Manage, monitor, and analyze departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
6. Ensure customer On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance through the effective use of available systems and tools, including QAD, PFEP, and production schedules, covering both production and service parts requirements.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure the timely availability and supply of materials and packaging.
8. Supervise Master Planning activities, ensuring timely monitoring, updating, and execution of customer requirements through external customer portals.
9. Validate production disruptions caused by material or packaging shortages, ensuring accurate reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.

Ensure effective communication and coordination between shifts and corresponding counterparts to maintain operational continuity and achieve production schedule commitments.
11. Maintain proactive and effective communication with external customer Material Logistics Management (MLM) representatives to address requirements, priorities, and critical supply chain issues.
12. Coordinate interplant production and material programs, ensuring proper synchronization of supply and production activities to prevent operational disruptions.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with Recruitment and Training departments to identify employee training and development needs.
2. Ensure achievement of established inventory targets, including inventory value and Days on Hand (DOH).
3. Coordinate and oversee customer portal management, ensuring accurate information, timely updates, and appropriate follow-up.
4. Establish, document, and track annual departmental objectives through the RH Fusion platform, ensuring alignment with plant and departmental performance indicators.
5. Actively participate in cross-functional teams and High Performance Teams (HPTs), conducting analyses and developing initiatives to optimize KPIs and improve operational performance.
6. Promptly identify, report, and escalate any unsafe conditions, environmental risks, process deviations, or nonconforming products that may compromise employee safety, environmental compliance, product quality, or the effectiveness of the Management System.
7. Ensure effective communication and coordination with relevant departments to implement immediate containment, corrective,



and preventive actions when deviations or risks are identified.

Education Level:

- Bachelor's Degree or Engineering Degree.

Professional Experience:

- 3–5 years of experience in Materials Superintendent, Senior Master Scheduler, or equivalent leadership positions.
- 3–5 years of experience within the automotive industry.
- Experience in production planning, materials management, inventory control, and logistics operations.
- Experience leading work teams and coordinating cross-functional activities.
- Experience managing suppliers, monitoring customer requirements, and resolving material supply issues.

Technical Knowledge:

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of ERP and MRP systems for materials planning and management.
- Experience with ERP systems and materials planning tools, preferably QAD.
- Knowledge of PFEP (Plan For Every Part) and inventory control methodologies.
- Knowledge of logistics, transportation, and material distribution processes.
- Experience managing and monitoring customer portals.
- Understanding of automotive customer-specific requirements.
- Knowledge of materials, production, and supply chain performance indicators.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and root cause analysis tools.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- APICS certification or relevant training preferred.
