L1 Monitoring Consultant / Monitoring Engineer

Type: 100% Remote

Location: Mexico

Note: its Level 1 role, so junior or low rates profiles preferred.

Adecuado Candidate: Monitoring Engineer, NOC Engineer, Production Support Engineer, Observability Engineer, or Cloud Operations Engineer with AWS and Linux experience.

Must Have:

- Monitoring tools (Check_mk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Splunk, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
- Linux troubleshooting
- AWS CloudWatch (Logs, Metrics, Alarms)
- Incident monitoring and alert management
- Experience supporting production environments

Key Skills:

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Check_mk, ELK, Moogsoft, and ServiceNow CMDB
- Strong Linux troubleshooting and support experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS monitoring tools ( CloudWatch, Logs, Metrics, Alarms )
- Knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana,



ELK, or Jaeger
- Experience configuring alerts, thresholds, dashboards, and device monitoring
- Basic scripting knowledge ( Python/Bash ) for automation
- Familiarity with incident management, alert correlation, and deduplication tools

Responsibilities:

- Monitor production environments and respond to alerts/incidents
- Configure and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards
- Analyze logs, metrics, and performance trends
- Manage alert thresholds and event correlation
- Support AWS and Kubernetes observability platforms
- Work in a 24x7 shift/roster environment

Preferred:

- AWS Certification
- SRE/Observability experience
- Knowledge of SLI/SLO concepts
