About the Project ?

Join an elite engineering team building enterprise-scale headend applications for a world-leading video content provider. Our backend, cloud-native systems power mission-critical media workflows processing millions of transactions, requiring extreme scalability, high availability, and zero-downtime fault tolerance.

In this role, you will lead the architecture, microservices development, and modern cloud migration (Java to Go, DynamoDB, Valkey) within a cutting-edge AWS and Kubernetes ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities ?️

- Microservices Development: Design, build, and operate resilient backend microservices using Java and Golang .
- Event-Driven Architecture: Architect high-throughput REST APIs and event-driven workflows leveraging Apache Kafka (AWS MSK) for distributed systems.
- Modernization & Migration: Lead key system transformations, including converting legacy Java services to Go, transitioning Couchbase to DynamoDB , and migrating Redis to Valkey .
- Cloud & Infrastructure Operations: Deploy and manage microservices on Kubernetes using advanced release strategies (Blue/Green, Canary).
- Engineering Excellence & CI/CD: Continuous improvement of build/deployment automation via Jenkins/Spinnaker pipelines.
- Production Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of service health, monitoring, alerting, observability,



and KTLO operational reliability.

Mandatory Qualifications & Technical Stack ?

- Languages: Strong hands-on proficiency in both Java and Golang .
- Architecture: Proven track record in Microservices, RESTful API design, and Event-Driven Architecture at enterprise scale.
- Event Streaming & Messaging: Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (specifically AWS MSK ).
- Databases & Caching: Deep experience with NoSQL ( DynamoDB , Couchbase ), key-value caching ( Redis or Valkey ), and relational SQL databases.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Strong AWS ecosystem experience (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, MSK; AWS CDK is a strong plus).
- Containerization & Deployment: Robust Kubernetes operational experience, including Blue/Green or Canary deployment strategies.
- CI/CD Automation: Hands-on pipeline integration (Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar modern CI/CD tools).

Nice-to-Have Skills ⭐

- Scripting & automation experience using Python .
- Enterprise observability tools: Grafana , Splunk , or OpenSearch .
- Data pipeline architecture using AWS Glue .
- Domain knowledge in video streaming standards or Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI, Yospace, SCTE-35, VAST).
- Familiarity with Spring Framework and deep networking fundamentals (HTTP/REST/TCP-IP).
