Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Mexicali, BC, Mexico

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality improvement initiatives, drive customer satisfaction, and support the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This role will serve as a subject matter expert in Quality Systems and Core Tools, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.

Drive resolution of customer and internal quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, A3, and Root Cause Analysis .

Support and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 .

Lead product, process, and system audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Sales teams to improve product and process performance.

Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and improve process capability.

Support scrap reduction, cost improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.





Serve as a key contact during customer visits, supplier interactions, and external audits.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to quality team members and cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field .

5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plans).

Experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.

Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related analysis tools.

Preferred Skills

Customer quality experience.

Audit leadership experience.

Experience leading cross-functional continuous improvement projects.

Strong statistical analysis and process capability knowledge.
