Server Admin Virtualization

Requirements

- Experience administering enterprise virtualization environments.
- Strong expertise with VMware vSphere, including ESXi, vCenter, vMotion, DRS, HA, and Distributed Switches.
- Proven experience managing and supporting large-scale production environments with high availability requirements.
- Advanced administration of Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux, or Ubuntu.
- Experience with enterprise storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and shared storage architectures.
- Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam Backup & Replication, Commvault, or similar technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across virtualization, operating systems, storage,



and infrastructure components.
- Experience performing upgrades, patch management, migrations, and server lifecycle management activities.

Responsibilities

- Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise virtualization platforms.
- Implement, configure, and optimize environments based on VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and equivalent virtualization technologies.
- Manage the capacity, performance, and availability of virtual infrastructure.
- Execute workload migrations, system upgrades, patch management, and preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Administer virtualization clusters, shared resources, load balancing, and high availability solutions.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex infrastructure incidents.
- Implement and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Participate in digital transformation initiatives, server consolidation projects, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
- Collaborate with Cloud, Network, Security, and Storage teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
- Automate operational and administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and other automation tools.
