Key Responsibilities

- Develop, review, and update cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization protocols for healthcare environments (hospitals, clinics, labs) based on best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide remote guidance and support to on-site environmental services teams on proper cleaning techniques and infection control measures.
- Conduct virtual audits and assessments of cleaning and sterilization processes using provided data, checklists, and video conferencing.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., CDC, OSHA, Joint Commission).
- Develop and deliver remote training programs and resources for healthcare staff on infection prevention and environmental hygiene.
- Investigate and analyze infection control data to identify trends and recommend preventive strategies related to environmental services.




- Collaborate with hospital infection control practitioners and facility managers to address specific concerns and implement solutions.
- Stay informed about new technologies, products, and research in healthcare cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization.
- Maintain accurate records of protocols, training, and audit findings.
- Serve as a remote subject matter expert on environmental hygiene and infection control within the healthcare network.

Requirements

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Nursing, Public Health, Biology, or Healthcare Administration.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare environmental services, infection control, or a related clinical support role.
- Thorough understanding of healthcare-specific cleaning agents, disinfection methods, and sterilization techniques (e.g., autoclaving, chemical sterilization).
- Knowledge of infection prevention principles and regulatory requirements in healthcare settings.
- Proven ability to develop training materials and conduct effective remote training sessions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with virtual collaboration platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or similar is highly desirable.
