While this role is primarily remote, it involves significant coordination with offshore teams and potential for field visits. The Engineer will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of offshore platforms, focusing on production optimization, equipment integrity, and emergency preparedness. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of offshore platform operations, including production, maintenance, and safety, from a remote location.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize hydrocarbon production and minimize downtime.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Monitor platform performance, analyze production data, and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Manage maintenance programs, including preventative and predictive maintenance, to ensure asset integrity.
- Coordinate with offshore personnel, onshore support teams, and service providers to facilitate operations.
- Develop and manage operational budgets and control costs effectively.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.




- Oversee emergency response planning and ensure readiness for all potential scenarios.
- Maintain detailed operational records and generate performance reports for management.
- Provide remote technical guidance and support to offshore teams on a continuous basis.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore oil and gas operations, with significant experience in platform management.
- Proven ability to manage complex operations remotely, with excellent communication and coordination skills.
- In-depth knowledge of offshore production systems, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Experience with offshore maintenance strategies and asset integrity management.
- Strong understanding of production optimization techniques and artificial lift systems.
- Proficiency in relevant operational software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively in a remote work setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English are essential.
