Abouttherole:

Asthe Sr. Product Ownerfor Core Payments,youwillleadthestrategyandexecutionofourend-to-endpaymentprocessingroadmap,coveringboth Money In(authorization,processingtransaction)and Money Out(disbursements,refunds,holdsandchargebacks). Yourmissionistodriveatransactionalvolumeexceeding1millionmonthlytransactions,maintaintop-tierapprovalrates,ensureaccuratereconciliationbetween Money Inand Money Out,andguaranteecompliancewithnetworkandregulatoryrequirements(Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, CNBV, Banxico),positioningoursolutionasacompetitiveleaderinthe Mexicanacquiringecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Roadmap Management: Leadthe Core Paymentsproductlifecyclefromideationtolaunch,generatingdocumentation(PRDs,userstorieswithtechnicalacceptancecriteria),definingcore KPIs,andcoordinatingexecutiontorecoverandscaletotalpaymentvolume(TPV).
- End-to-End Payment Processing: Ownthefunctionaldesignandevolutionofthepaymentinfrastructure(Payments API, Gateway, Switch,processorandnetworkconnections),ensuringavailability,performanceandscalabilityacross Card Presentand Card Not Presentflows.
- Strategy, Segmentation&Routing;: Defineanddesignthesmartroutingrulesbypaymentmethod, BINandissuer(Chip+PIN, Contactless,e-commerce)tomaintainanapprovalrateabove90%,whileoptimizingprocessingcostpertransaction.
- Money In/Money Out Reconciliation:



Definethebusinessrules,controlsandoperationalprocessesforclearing,settlement,merchantpayouts,disbursements,refundsandholds,ensuringeverytransactionreconcilesendtoendandreducingdiscrepanciesandresolutiontimes.
- Certification&Compliance;: Coordinateintegrationandcertificationcycles(e.g., EMVL3)withengineers,processors(e.g., PROSA, GETNET,e.integral)andpaymentnetworks,guaranteeingcompliancewith PCI-DSSandnetworkstandardswithoutcreatingdevelopmentbottlenecks.
- Operational Resilience&Troubleshooting;: Partnerwith Techonincidentanalysisandrootcause,definemonitoring,alertingandfailovermechanisms,andusedataandobservabilitytools(SQL, New Relic)tominimizeimpactonapprovalrateandmerchantexperience.
- Testing&User; Experience: Collaboratewith Businessand Techteamstoconductuseracceptancetesting(UAT)andcontinuouslyoptimizepaymentflowsandmerchantexperience.

Required Profile
- Experience:4+yearsinpaymentsproductmanagementorpaymentprocessing(Card Presentand Card Not Present)within Fintechs,acquirers,paymentprocessors,orfinancialinstitutionsin Mexico. Proventrackrecordoftakingproductsfromideationtolaunchwithameasurableimpacton TPV,approvalrate,reconciliationaccuracyorchargebackreduction.
- Education: Bachelor'sdegreein Engineering(Systems, Software, Industrial, Financial), Business Administration, Finance,orrelatedfields. Aspecializationin Product Management, Digital Payments,or Fintechishighlydesirable.
- Technical Knowledge: Deepunderstandingofend-to-endpaymentprocessingin Mexico:paymentmethods(Chip, Contactless, QR,e-commerce),networks(Visa, Mastercard, AMEX),processorsandswitches,gatewayarchitectureand ISO8583messaging,authorization,clearingandsettlementflows,chargebacklifecycle, SPEIdisbursements,andstandardslike EMVL3and PCI-DSS.
- Niceto Have: Experiencewithfraudpreventiontoolsandriskscoring, MSIandprepaidvoucherprograms,andmerchantonboardingand KYCprocesses. Priorexperienceatcompaniessuchas Clip,d Local, Mercado Pago, Adyenor Square.
- Soft Skills: Englishproficiency. Analytical,strategic,results-orientedprofilewithstrongcross-functionalcollaborationskills(Tech, Business, Risk, Operations, Compliance).
