Use cases and solution design

Work with business and plant experts to shape and prioritise use cases such as predictive quality, yield and process optimisation, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance and forecasting.

Define the ML solution architecture: data and feature pipelines, training, evaluation, deployment (batch and real time, cloud and edge) and integration with product APIs.

Where appropriate, define generative-AI patterns (for example retrieval over technical documents) with clear guardrails and evaluation.

MLOps and lifecycle

Define the MLOps approach: experiment tracking, model registry, CI/CD for models, automated retraining, monitoring for drift and data-quality issues, and rollback.

Set model evaluation standards (accuracy, robustness, bias, explainability) and acceptance thresholds agreed with the business.

Estimate and manage compute, storage and run cost; design for scalability and reliability.
