About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Especialista en Apoyo Familiar y Prevención de Violencia for a remote position, serving the region of Oaxaca City, Oaxaca and surrounding areas. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive support to families facing challenges, with a particular focus on preventing and intervening in cases of domestic violence and other forms of abuse. You will utilize remote communication tools to connect with clients, offer counseling, provide resources, and develop safety plans. The position requires a deep understanding of family dynamics, trauma-informed approaches, and community resources available to support victims and families. Your expertise will be vital in fostering safer and healthier family environments. Key Responsibilities

Provide remote counseling and support services to families and individuals.

Develop and implement individualized intervention plans for families at risk.

Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans for victims of domestic violence.

Offer psychoeducation on healthy relationships, parenting, and conflict resolution.

Facilitate access to legal, medical, housing, and other supportive services.

Conduct remote workshops and awareness campaigns on violence prevention and family well-being.

Maintain confidential client records and prepare detailed progress reports.

Collaborate with other service providers, including law enforcement and social agencies.





Stay current with best practices in family support and violence prevention.

Advocate for the rights and needs of vulnerable family members.

Requirements

Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of experience working directly with families, including experience in violence prevention or intervention.

Demonstrated expertise in family therapy, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.

Proven ability to conduct remote counseling and support sessions effectively.

Strong knowledge of domestic violence issues and available resources in Oaxaca.

Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills.

Proficiency with secure video conferencing and telehealth platforms.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain professional boundaries in a remote setting.

Fluency in Spanish; knowledge of local indigenous languages is a significant asset.

Must have a reliable internet connection and a private workspace.
