The Plant Manager will take full operational, financial, and strategic ownership of the facility, including P&L; oversight, safety compliance, customer delivery commitments, quality excellence, engineering optimization, and labor relations across both salaried and unionized workforces. The adecuado candidate blends executive leadership and business acumen with a deep respect for shop‑floor technical rigor in precision metal‑cutting environments.
Key Responsibilities & Areas of Impact 1. Strategic Operations & P&L; Leadership Drive overall plant operational performance and financial accountability, delivering on monthly and annual budgets, CAPEX execution, labor efficiency, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
Establish and monitor plant‑wide SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) scorecards, maintaining clear targets for OEE, First‑Pass Yield, Scrap Rate, and Machine Availability across critical precision equipment.
Align operational capacity with global demand forecasts, collaborating closely with corporate leadership and plant materials/planning teams.
2. Technical Oversight (Precision Grinding & Honing Value Stream) Provide overarching direction for high‑precision operations, ensuring standard work, robust preventative maintenance, and rapid troubleshooting on grinding wheels/abrasives, mandrels, guide shoes,
coolant management systems, and precision bore tooling.
Sponsor continuous improvement projects targeting setup time reductions (SMED), extended abrasive tool life, reduction of chatter/geometry drift, and elimination of scrap.
Ensure tooling, metrology, and fixture strategies match stringent customer drawings, geometric tolerances, and surface‑finish standards.
3. Quality Management & Customer Satisfaction Champion a plant culture of zero‑defect quality and built‑in process capability, supporting IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and OEM customer requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering. A Master’s Degree (MBA or Manufacturing Management) is strongly preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role (Plant Manager, Operations Director, or Assistant Plant Manager).
Direct experience in Tier‑1/Tier‑2 automotive, metal‑mechanic, or precision machining industries.
Technical Acumen:
Thorough understanding of precision machining processes (grinding, honing, hard turning, CNC, and abrasives technology).
Deep knowledge of GD&T;, precision metrology, and surface‑finish requirements.
Lean & Quality Mastery:
Proven track record implementing Lean Manufacturing (TPS, 5S, SMED, VSM, Kaizen) and Six Sigma methodologies (Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred).
Solid working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and advanced problem‑solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, A3).
