About the Role
Our client, a renowned cultural institution dedicated to promoting the heritage of Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, MX , is searching for a creative and organized Coordinador de Eventos y Relaciones Públicas para Turismo Cultural . This role is integral to enhancing the visibility and public engagement with the region’s rich cultural offerings. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and promoting a variety of cultural events, managing media outreach, and fostering relationships with local communities, artists, and tourism stakeholders. The idóneo candidate will have a passion for culture, strong organizational skills, and experience in event management and public relations within the Medios y Relaciones Públicas or tourism sector. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant cultural landscape of Oaxaca while contributing to its preservation and promotion.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute cultural events, exhibitions, and festivals.

Develop and manage the promotion of events through various media channels, including press releases and social media.

Build and maintain relationships with local media, bloggers, and influencers to generate positive coverage.

Liaise with artists, performers, and cultural organizations to facilitate event participation.

Manage event logistics, including venue selection, budgeting, and vendor coordination.





Develop and implement public relations strategies to enhance the institution’s profile.

Assist in crafting communication materials, such as brochures, newsletters, and website content.

Provide support for media visits and VIP engagements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Cultural Management, Tourism, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in event coordination, public relations, or marketing, preferably within the cultural or tourism sector.

Proven experience in planning and executing successful events.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.

Strong understanding of local Oaxacan culture and artistic community is highly desirable.

Proficiency in social media platforms and event promotion tools.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.

Experience with budgeting and vendor management.

Must be comfortable working in a hybrid model, with regular attendance required in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, MX .
