Job Description
This Manager will lead a Data Science team of approximately five people while remaining highly hands‑on technically. Roughly 30-40% of the role will focus on people leadership, including 1:1s, interviewing, quarterly reviews, career development, capacity planning, stakeholder management, and representing the team within leadership. The remaining 50-60% will focus on hands‑on Data Science work, including Machine Learning, LLMs, statistical analysis, model evaluation, NLP, and large-scale data initiatives. This person will help set technical direction while ensuring the team is supported, developing, and successfully delivering against business priorities.

Skills and Requirements

7+ years of Data Science experience

Strong core Data Science and Machine Learning foundation

Hands‑on Python experience

Strong LLM / Generative AI experience

Strong statistics and model evaluation knowledge

NLP and AI/ML fundamentals

Experience processing and analyzing large datasets

Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership

People leadership including 1:1s, career development, reviews,



and capacity planning

Ability to remain technically hands‑on while managing a team
