About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive and experienced Coordinador de Programas de Asistencia Humanitaria y Respuesta a Crisis to manage vital support services in Torreón, Coahuila . This role is critical in developing, implementing, and overseeing programs designed to assist vulnerable populations affected by natural disasters, socio-economic hardships, or other emergencies. The idóneo candidate will have a strong background in emergency management, humanitarian aid, or social work, coupled with exceptional organizational and leadership skills. This position requires a compassionate individual committed to providing timely and effective relief. The role involves a hybrid work model, demanding both on-site coordination and remote planning and reporting activities in the Torreón area.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic plans for humanitarian assistance and crisis response initiatives.
- Coordinate the delivery of essential services, including food, shelter, medical aid, and psychosocial support to affected populations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, NGOs, community leaders, and international organizations involved in disaster relief.
- Conduct needs assessments in crisis situations to prioritize and allocate resources effectively.
- Manage program budgets, ensuring accountability and efficient use of funds.
- Oversee logistics and supply chain management for relief efforts.
- Train and manage teams of staff and volunteers involved in crisis response operations.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Social Work, Public Health, Disaster Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in humanitarian aid, disaster response, or emergency management.
- Proven experience in program management, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and international best practices in crisis response.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in challenging and often volatile environments.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Fluency in Spanish is required; English proficiency is highly desirable.
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, involving frequent on-site presence in Torreón and remote administrative tasks.
