About the Role

Our client, a renowned automotive engineering firm, is seeking a skilled Chassis Design Engineer to join their innovative team. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote flexibility with essential on-site collaboration at their Oaxaca City, Oaxaca facility. You will be instrumental in the conceptualization, design, and development of advanced chassis systems for next-generation vehicles, focusing on performance, safety, and ride comfort. The idóneo candidate possesses a strong theoretical background in vehicle dynamics and mechanical design, coupled with practical experience in automotive chassis development. Your expertise will directly contribute to shaping the driving experience of future automobiles.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop chassis components and systems, including suspension, steering, and braking systems, using advanced CAD software.
- Perform detailed engineering analyses, such as structural, kinematic, and dynamic simulations, to optimize chassis performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including vehicle dynamics specialists, CAE engineers, and testing teams, throughout the development process.
- Generate detailed design documentation, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical specifications.
- Support prototype build and vehicle testing phases, analyzing test data and making necessary design modifications.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and performance targets.




- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues encountered during development and validation.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in chassis design and automotive engineering.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive chassis design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX.
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, suspension geometry, steering systems, and braking systems.
- Experience with CAE tools for structural and dynamic analysis (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a hybrid work environment.
- Must be able to work effectively both remotely and on-site in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca.
- Fluency in Spanish required; working knowledge of English is advantageous.
