We are looking for a CAE Project Leader – Structural to join our Transportation and Industrial Solutions team in Guadalajara, Mexico.

In this role, you will lead and support structural CAE activities for automotive connector applications, using advanced simulation methods and tools to evaluate and validate structural performance. You will collaborate with engineering teams to drive design improvements, enhance simulation accuracy, automate CAE workflows, and develop innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions.

As part of our expanding CAE team within the Transportation and Industrial Solutions Division, you will work in a highly technical environment focused on simulation, product performance, engineering analysis, and design optimization.

What You Will Do

- Coordinate and provide engineering analysis support, primarily using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), for short fiber-reinforced plastic and copper alloy component systems using Altair HyperWorks and Abaqus.

- Perform nonlinear durability and linear vibration simulations.

- Correlate CAE simulation results with real-world product performance and recommend improvements to increase simulation accuracy.

- Develop scripts and automation solutions to improve CAE process efficiency.

- Use process automation and optimization tools such as SIMULIA Isight, Altair HyperStudy, and modeFRONTIER to automate CAE workflows.

- Develop regression models for nonlinear engineering applications to support innovative and cost-effective design solutions.

- Communicate technical knowledge, simulation results, and experimental findings effectively to peers, management, and customers in both written and verbal formats.





- Participate in relevant training and conferences to remain current with developments in CAE technologies, simulation methodologies, and engineering tools.

- Travel as needed to support business and project requirements.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or a related technical discipline.

- At least 5 years of experience with FEA applications.

- Experience with scripting and CAE process automation tools such as Isight, HyperStudy, or modeFRONTIER, including workflow automation and regression modeling for nonlinear engineering applications.

- Experience with parametric CAD systems such as Siemens NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks.

- Demonstrated aptitude in root cause analysis and failure analysis.

What Will Put You Ahead

- PhD in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related technical discipline.

- 5+ years of experience with SIMULIA products, including Abaqus and Isight.

- 5+ years of experience with Altair products, including HyperWorks and SimLab.

- 3+ years of experience providing CAE engineering user support and training.

- 3+ years of experience using CAE modeling to predict nonlinear structural behavior in short fiber-reinforced plastics and metals.

- 3+ years of experience with scripting and CAE process automation tools such as Isight, HyperStudy, and modeFRONTIER.

- 2+ years of experience applying Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence to develop regression models for nonlinear engineering applications.

- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.

- Experience with analytical engineering tools such as MATLAB or Mathematica.
