About the Role Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Production Engineer with a strong background in Lean Manufacturing principles to join their facility in Puebla, Puebla . This role is crucial for optimizing production processes, enhancing efficiency, and maintaining high-quality output in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing current production methods, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that reduce waste and increase productivity. A deep understanding of assembly line operations, process flow, and continuous improvement techniques is essential. Key Responsibilities Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement using Lean methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
Develop and implement new production strategies and layouts to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Monitor production output and quality metrics, implementing actions to meet targets.
Work closely with production line operators and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and effective problem-solving.
Oversee the implementation of new equipment or technologies on the production floor.
Train production staff on new processes, safety procedures, and Lean principles.
Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work times.




Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards in the production area.
Collaborate with engineering teams on product design for manufacturability.
Manage and maintain production documentation and performance reports.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in production engineering within the automotive industry.
Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proven experience in optimizing assembly lines and production processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent understanding of manufacturing systems and equipment.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
Experience with process simulation software is a plus.
Proficiency in Spanish is required; English language skills are beneficial.
Availability to work a hybrid schedule in Puebla, Puebla , with occasional on-site presence required.
