Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

Location: Mexico -Remote The Role and Team

As a Senior Software Engineer on Medallia Experience Cloud Reporting, you will build frontend experiences that deliver a consistent, high-quality Reporting product for our customers.

This role is primarily frontend. You will design and ship performant, accessible, user-facing applications; own work end to end; and solve hard product and technical problems with a full-stack, cross-functional Reporting engineering team. You will partner with product, design, quality, and other MEC engineering teams to deliver safely and keep the product reliable.

As a senior engineer, you will be a go-to owner for important components, help set technical direction for frontend work, raise the bar through code review and design feedback, and coach teammates on modern practices, including effective use of AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

- Build responsive, accessible web experiences with modern HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React
- Design, implement, and help drive product delivery: clarify scope, plan pragmatically, and ship software that scales and stays maintainable
- Own features and components end to end, including quality, operability, and follow-through after release
- Consume and integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs, including mutations and clear error handling
- Partner with dependent engineering teams so deliveries land smoothly and services stay reliable
- Spot gaps in knowledge, tools, and process, and work with your Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and teammates to close them
- Put strong engineering practices into daily work,



and help build or improve tooling that makes those practices the default
- Use AI-assisted tools (Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to accelerate design, implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation, while keeping security, privacy, and code quality high
- Mentor other engineers through reviews, pairing, and clear technical communication
- Work in a small agile team with standups, demos, code reviews, and research spikes

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

- 5+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining software products
- Demonstrated proficiency in React, including hooks, composition patterns, and state management
- Experience consuming REST and GraphQL APIs, including mutations and error states
- Proficiency with TypeScript
- Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as part of day-to-day engineering work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ownership mindset with a clear focus on quality
- Ability to mentor others and influence technical decisions through clear written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications

- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience working in agile, globally distributed teams
- Experience with automated testing and unit tests (Jest)
- Experience with Playwright or comparable end-to-end testing
- Experience building accessible, performant frontend applications in a large SaaS product
- Experience establishing or improving team practices around AI-assisted development
