Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced AI and Backend Engineer with strong expertise in agentic AI systems, search and information retrieval, and production-grade software engineering. The adecuado candidate will have hands-on experience building intelligent AI agents, developing scalable backend services, and integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal AI solutions into enterprise applications.

This role requires strong architectural skills, production engineering experience, and the ability to build reliable AI-powered solutions that automate complex enterprise workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and build agentic AI frameworks from scratch, including tool usage, multi-step reasoning, orchestration, streaming, RAG, multimodal integration, sandboxing, and state management.
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable production APIs and backend services, including RESTful APIs, streaming APIs, asynchronous workflows, authentication, authorization, and service versioning.
- Own production systems end-to-end, driving process improvements, roadmap contributions, defect resolution, monitoring, uptime, and operational reliability.
- Apply strong backend engineering principles across service design, API development, batch processing, orchestration, observability, and production support.
- Develop and maintain AI evaluation frameworks, including evaluation datasets, regression testing, rubric-based scoring, human-in-the-loop reviews, and AI-as-a-judge techniques.
- Build and orchestrate large-scale batch workflows leveraging foundation models, including LLMs, VLMs,



pretrained open-source models, and deep learning models.
- Design reliable and secure AI-powered solutions that automate complex enterprise workflows while accounting for non-deterministic model behavior.
- Optimize AI systems by balancing quality, reliability, latency, cost, explainability, and user experience.
- Implement search and retrieval solutions using lexical and embedding-based search techniques, focusing on relevance, ranking, precision, recall, and retrieval performance.
- Work with foundation models and open-source LLMs, including model configuration, prompting strategies, temperature, top-p sampling, log probabilities, confidence scoring, and model selection.
- Collaborate across the full technology stack, contributing to frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and related frameworks.
- Support video, visual media, and multimodal AI workflows using tools such as FFmpeg, OpenCV, or similar libraries.

Required Qualifications

- 7 years of software development experience using programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript.
- 2 years of experience architecting, designing, and optimizing large-scale search and information retrieval systems.
- 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience building agentic AI solutions,



including tool-using, conversational, reasoning, planning, or long-running agents.
- Experience with modern agent frameworks such as OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, Google ADK, SmolAgents, or equivalent technologies.
- 1 year of experience evaluating AI systems for quality, reliability, and safety at scale.
- 5 years of experience delivering production-grade software in enterprise or consumer environments.
- Experience with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or comparable search and retrieval technologies.
- Strong understanding of digital media and broadcast production operations and workflows.
- Experience working with video, rich visual media, or multimodal AI systems.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, industry trends, and engineering best practices.
- Hands-on experience with C4 architecture models and traditional software design artifacts.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred / Desired Skills

- Experience with model training, fine-tuning, or domain-specific adaptation techniques such as LoRA and PEFT.
- Knowledge of stateful software design patterns and streaming protocols such as WebSockets.
- Frontend development experience with React, Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- 5 years of experience working with AWS cloud services.
- 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
