About the Role

Our client, a significant operator in the hidrocarburos sector, is looking for a diligent and skilled Técnico de Mantenimiento de Equipos de Perforación Petrolera to join their team in the vibrant coastal city of Acapulco, Guerrero . This hands‑on role is essential for ensuring the operational readiness and reliability of all drilling equipment, thereby guaranteeing the safety and efficiency of extraction operations. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of heavy machinery maintenance within an industrial context. As an integral part of our field operations, you will work closely with drilling crews and supervisors to perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine preventive maintenance on drilling rigs, pumps, engines, and other associated equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, and execute timely and effective repairs.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Operate diagnostic equipment to identify potential problems and predict future failures.




- Collaborate with the procurement team to manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability.
- Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and testing of drilling equipment.

Requirements

- Technical degree or certification in Mechanical Maintenance, Automotive Mechanics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the maintenance of heavy machinery, specifically in the oil and gas, construction, or industrial sectors.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with diesel engines, power systems, and drilling rig components.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and practices.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in demanding environmental conditions.
- Experience working on-site in locations such as Acapulco is a plus.
