About the Role

We are currently seeking a diligent and highly organized Farmacéutico de Dispensación to join our dynamic hospital pharmacy team. This role is crucial for ensuring that patients receive their prescribed medications accurately and promptly, especially in urgent situations. You will be at the forefront of patient safety, working closely with physicians and nursing staff to manage medication therapies effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical dispensing practices and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately interpreting and dispensing physician orders for medications, ensuring correct dosage, form, and route of administration.
- Preparing and labeling medications according to established procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Providing patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and storage.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues and optimize patient therapy.
- Maintaining pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
- Operating and maintaining pharmacy equipment, including automated dispensing systems.
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, state,



and local regulations governing pharmacy practice.
- Participating in quality assurance activities to improve dispensing accuracy and patient safety.
- Responding to drug information requests from healthcare providers and patients.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Current and active pharmacist license in Mexico.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital or retail pharmacy dispensing.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and electronic health records.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug interactions, and therapeutic guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient and staff interaction.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a demanding environment.
