About the Role

Our client, a prominent logistics provider with significant operations along the Pacific coast, is seeking a skilled Coordinador de Tráfico y Logística Marítima/Portuaria to manage and optimize their maritime and port-related logistics activities in Acapulco, Guerrero . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through port facilities, coordinating with shipping lines, customs brokers, and trucking companies. You will be responsible for managing container movements, optimizing cargo handling, and ensuring compliance with all port and maritime regulations. The adecuado candidate possesses extensive knowledge of international shipping procedures, port operations, and customs clearance processes. Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage all aspects of maritime and port logistics, including vessel scheduling, container tracking, and cargo management for shipments arriving and departing from Acapulco, Guerrero .
- Liaise with shipping lines, stevedores, port authorities, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure efficient cargo flow and timely vessel turnarounds.
- Monitor international shipping regulations and ensure full compliance for all cargo handled.
- Optimize container yard operations and inland transportation from the port to final destinations.
- Manage customs clearance procedures and documentation for import and export shipments.




- Analyze port operational data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the maritime and logistics industry.
- Resolve any operational issues or disruptions related to port and maritime activities.
- Prepare reports on vessel movements, cargo volumes, and operational performance metrics.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in maritime logistics, port operations, or international freight forwarding, with a strong understanding of sea freight.
- Proven experience managing logistics operations within a port environment, specifically in Acapulco, Guerrero , or a similar major port.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping terms, customs procedures, and maritime regulations.
- Familiarity with port operations, container handling, and intermodal transportation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced port environment.
