This vital role ensures the accuracy and reliability of geological data used for mine planning, resource estimation, and production reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing rigorous quality control protocols for geological sampling, assay data, and modeling inputs. You will work closely with mine geologists and engineers to maintain the integrity of geological information, contributing directly to operational efficiency and economic decision-making. This position offers a hands‑on opportunity to influence the quality of geological work in a key mining region.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) programs for geological data.
- Monitor and evaluate the accuracy and precision of sampling and assaying procedures.
- Analyze QA/QC data to identify potential biases or errors and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee the verification of geological database entries and ensure data integrity.
- Conduct audits of field procedures and laboratory results.
- Collaborate with mine geologists to ensure adherence to sampling protocols.
- Assist in the validation of geological models and resource estimates.
- Prepare regular reports on QA/QC performance and trends.
- Stay updated on best practices in geological data management and quality control.
Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in geological operations, with a specific focus on QA/QC protocols.
- Strong understanding of geological sampling techniques and assaying processes.
- Experience with geological databases and data management software.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis for QA/QC data evaluation.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with industry standards for resource reporting is a plus.
- Must be able to work full-time on‑site in Puebla, Puebla, MX .
