Licona Insurance Group is a growing insurance organization specializing in commercial trucking insurance, with multiple business entities operating in the United States and Mexico.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, manage accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and support executive leadership in financial planning and decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience managing multiple companies, and a proactive approach to financial management. Experience working with U.S.-based companies is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
- Manage financial operations across multiple companies or legal entities.
- Oversee intercompany transactions and consolidated financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Develop and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial processes.
- Supervise and develop accounting personnel, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, financial management, or controllership.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting principles.
- Experience managing accounting teams and financial operations.




- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing multiple companies or legal entities.
- Experience working with U.S.-based companies or managing U.S. financial operations.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and cross-border accounting practices.
- Experience with consolidated financial statements and intercompany transactions.
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
- Background in insurance, financial services, or multi-entity organizations.
- CPA certification or postgraduate studies in Accounting or Finance.

What We're Looking For
