About the Role

Our client, a well-established architectural and engineering firm, is seeking a skilled Ingeniero Civil Estructural y de Edificaciones to join their team in Toluca, State of Mexico . This role involves the structural design and analysis of various building projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all building codes and standards. You will work closely with architects and other engineers to develop integrated design solutions for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. The adecuado candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a solid understanding of structural principles and materials. Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural analysis and design for building projects, including foundations, framing, and seismic resistance.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using relevant software.
- Collaborate with architects and other design consultants to ensure cohesive project development.
- Conduct site inspections during construction to verify adherence to design specifications.
- Review shop drawings and respond to contractor requests for information (RFIs).
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, seismic design provisions, and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.




- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Identify opportunities for design optimization and innovation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural design of buildings.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE) and CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and seismic design requirements in Mexico.
- Experience with various building materials such as steel, concrete, and masonry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a project team environment.
- Experience working in Toluca, State of Mexico , or surrounding areas is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is desirable.
