Role Overview We are looking for a data center operations professional who can turn customer requirements into clearly scoped, costed and executable service proposals while helping build our Data Center Operations practice. This person must understand what happens inside a data center—from receiving equipment and installing racks to managing break/fix activities, coordinating maintenance windows and organizing round-the-clock technical coverage. They will use that experience to define service offerings, develop operating models and prepare proposals that delivery teams can execute.

Key Responsibilities
Data Center Assessment & Solution Design
• Assess customer environments, including site locations, rack counts, equipment inventories, deployment schedules, ticket volumes, support windows and response requirements.
• Define the boundary between customer teams, colocation operators, OEMs and Teceze across IT equipment support, connectivity and facilities-related activities.
• Develop solutions for:
• Smart hands and remote hands: physical inspections, console access, equipment resets, cable tracing and troubleshooting under approved procedures.
• Rack and stack: equipment receiving, inventory verification, rack positioning, device installation, power and network connections, labeling and installation validation.
• Hardware break/fix: fault isolation, OEM coordination, approved component replacements, spares management and RMA handling.
• Structured cabling: copper and fiber installation, patching, testing, labeling and documentation.
• Moves, adds, changes and decommissioning: equipment relocation, controlled changes, asset reconciliation and secure disposition coordination.
• Build support models for enterprise, colocation and AI/GPU environments, accounting for equipment density, specialist skills and OEM support dependencies.
• Define service prerequisites such as site access, customer authorizations, tooling, documentation and spare-parts availability. Staffing, Coverage & Cost Models
• Translate workload and SLA requirements into dedicated on-site, shared, dispatch or hybrid support models.
• Build staffing estimates covering shift schedules, skills mix, site coverage, leave relief, on-call arrangements and escalation support.
• Distinguish response, attendance, restoration and resolution commitments when defining SLAs.

• Develop cost models incorporating labor, travel, tools, test equipment, spares handling, subcontractors and transition costs.
• Identify risks such as restricted access, unsupported hardware, incomplete inventories, parts delays and reliance on third-party maintenance providers. Technical Proposals & Statements of Work
• Own the technical content of data center operations proposals, RFP responses, SOWs and customer presentations.
• Define service volumes and pricing assumptions using appropriate units such as sites, racks, devices, tickets, dispatches and project activities.
• Prepare scope matrices, responsibility assignments, service-level schedules, staffing plans and escalation models.
• Specify deliverables such as installation records, cable test results, asset updates, incident reports and operational dashboards.
• Document exclusions and dependencies, including electrical work, cooling maintenance, energized work, OEM warranty obligations and customer-controlled systems.
• Work with delivery and finance teams to validate estimates, pricing inputs and operational commitments before submission.
• Present proposed solutions to customers and resolve technical questions during procurement and contract discussions. Practice Development
• Build repeatable offerings for resident data center technicians, 24×7 smart hands, multi-site dispatch support, deployment projects and hardware lifecycle services.
• Create standard assessment questionnaires, site survey templates, service catalogs, estimation tools and SOW components.
• Develop staffing and productivity benchmarks from completed deployments and operational engagements.
• Maintain a skills matrix covering server hardware, networking, fiber and copper cabling, OEM platforms and AI/GPU infrastructure.
• Build reference operating procedures for receiving, installation, break/fix, change execution, escalation and decommissioning.

• Work with marketing and sales to develop technically credible case studies and capability presentations. Transition & Operational Readiness
• Prepare mobilization plans covering recruitment, site access, training, tooling, spares, documentation and customer handover.
• Define readiness criteria for accepting a site or service into support.
• Coordinate the handover of asset inventories, rack elevations, connectivity records, open incidents and maintenance arrangements.
• Establish reporting for SLA achievement, ticket backlog, repeat incidents, deployment completion and inventory accuracy.
• Feed operational lessons and actual service costs into future proposals. Required Experience
• 5+ years in data center operations or infrastructure services, including experience in solution development, technical presales or service transition.
• Direct experience working in a data center as an operations engineer, site lead, technical project manager or operations manager.
• Practical understanding of rack layouts, A/B power feeds, rack PDUs, out-of-band management, copper/fiber connectivity and hardware maintenance procedures.
• Experience estimating staffing and costs for 24×7 operations, smart hands services or multi-site support.
• Ability to interpret equipment lists, rack elevations, connectivity diagrams and deployment plans.
• Demonstrated experience producing technical proposals, SOWs and operational transition plans.
• Strong customer-facing communication and the ability to explain scope, assumptions, costs and delivery risks clearly. Preferred Experience
• AI/GPU infrastructure deployments and associated networking, power and cooling dependencies.
• OEM support coordination across platforms such as Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco or NVIDIA.
• DCIM, ITSM, asset management and remote monitoring tools.
• Relevant data center, cabling, ITIL or project management certifications. Success Measures
• Accurate, deliverable solutions with clearly defined scope and responsibilities.
• Timely proposals supported by defensible staffing and cost assumptions.
• Reusable offerings and estimation assets that improve proposal turnaround.
• Successful service mobilization with minimal scope gaps.
• Alignment between proposed costs, contracted commitments and vigente delivery.
