About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an accomplished Operations Plant Manager for a large-scale solar power generation facility located near Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas . This critical role demands a leader with extensive experience in managing power plant operations, optimizing performance, and ensuring the highest levels of safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the facility, overseeing a team of skilled technicians and engineers, and implementing best practices to maximize energy output and plant reliability. This is a unique opportunity to lead a key renewable energy asset in a vibrant region of Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all operational aspects of the solar power plant, including energy generation, performance monitoring, and maintenance scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and operational permits.
- Manage and develop a high-performing operations team, including engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Implement and refine operational procedures to enhance plant efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize energy production.
- Develop and manage the operational budget, controlling costs and identifying areas for cost savings.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, grid operators, and maintenance contractors.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables,



ensuring availability for planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and ensure operational readiness.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in power plant operations, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory role, preferably in solar energy.
- Demonstrated experience in operational management of renewable energy facilities.
- Strong understanding of solar PV technology, grid connection, and energy market operations.
- Proven ability to manage operational budgets and control costs effectively.
- Excellent leadership, team management, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations relevant to power plant operations in Mexico.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with proficiency in Spanish.
- Willingness to relocate and work on-site in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas .
