We’re looking for a Software Engineer – AI & Internal Automation (Claude Agents) to design, build, and deploy custom autonomous agents powered by Anthropic’s Claude models. You’ll connect agents to internal databases, APIs, and business systems, turning data analysis and operational reporting into reliable, action-oriented workflows that automate tasks across internal teams.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, test, and maintain multi-step, tool-using agents with the Claude API, Anthropic tool use/function calling patterns, and agentic frameworks.
- Connect agents to internal databases (SQL/NoSQL), data warehouses, knowledge bases, and SaaS APIs to enable real-time analytical retrieval and reasoning.
- Implement deterministic tools and guardrails that let agents take authorized business actions (ticket triage, report generation, system reconciliation, workflow routing) based on analytical findings.
- Develop robust system prompts, context management strategies, structured output schemas, and RAG pipelines tailored to complex internal data schemas.
- Establish evaluation benchmarks, observability pipelines, and fallback mechanisms to monitor agent precision, latency, hallucination rates, and token usage.




- Ensure agents follow internal data governance policies, role-based access control (RBAC), and enterprise safety guidelines.

Must-haves

- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with practical experience building applications on LLM APIs.
- Proficiency in Python or TypeScript/Node.js.
- Direct experience with Anthropic’s Claude API, Tool Use/Function Calling, and context window optimization.
- Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including SQL query authoring and vector databases (Pinecone, pgvector, Qdrant).
- Experience with agent orchestration tools and patterns (LangChain/LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or custom runtime architectures).
- Ability to inspect, model, and translate complex internal data pipelines into consumable inputs for LLM reasoning.
- Proven track record designing clean RESTful/gRPC APIs, handling asynchronous execution queues, and managing stateful agent memory.

Nice-to-have

- Experience deploying production LLM apps in enterprise clouds (AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure).
- Familiarity with LLM monitoring, tracing, and evaluation platforms (Langfuse, Arize Phoenix, Weights & Biases).
- Prior experience automating workflows in enterprise tools (Salesforce, Jira, Slack, HubSpot, ERP systems).
