Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies and action plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulations and standards.
- Monitor and report on key sustainability performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee waste management, water conservation, and emissions control programs.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders to foster positive relationships.
- Manage environmental permitting processes and regulatory reporting.
- Promote a culture of sustainability and environmental awareness throughout the organization.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in mining sustainability.
- Collaborate with internal departments (operations, legal, communications) to integrate sustainability goals.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in environmental management or sustainability, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, ESG frameworks, and sustainability reporting standards (e.g., GRI).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in English is required for international reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Experience with community engagement and social responsibility initiatives is a plus.




- Membership in relevant professional organizations is desirable.
