About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Director de Operaciones de Campamentos de Verano to manage the logistical and operational aspects of their summer camp programs. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in Mexico. You will be responsible for overseeing all operational elements, including staff management, resource allocation, safety protocols, and program delivery, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for campers. The idóneo candidate has a strong background in operations management, event planning, or youth program administration, coupled with exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills. This role requires a strategic thinker who can anticipate needs and proactively address challenges to ensure the success of our summer camp initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the planning, execution, and logistical coordination of all summer camp operations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans, including staffing schedules, transportation, and facility management.
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage camp counselors and support staff, ensuring high standards of performance and safety.
- Establish and enforce strict health, safety, and emergency response protocols for all camp activities.
- Manage the camp budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient use of resources.
- Coordinate with program directors to ensure smooth delivery of daily camp activities and schedules.
- Procure and manage necessary equipment, supplies, and resources for camp operations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for parent inquiries regarding operational matters and safety.




- Conduct post-camp evaluations to identify areas for improvement and report on operational outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to youth camps.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Education, Recreation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations management, camp administration, event logistics, or a similar role.
- Proven experience in staff recruitment, training, and management, particularly with seasonal or youth-focused teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex operations remotely.
- Passion for youth development and creating positive summer camp experiences.
