About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the mining sector, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Ingeniero Geólogo Senior to join their dynamic team in Culiacán, Sinaloa . This is a critical role focused on overseeing and optimizing geological operations within our client's active mining sites. The adecuado candidate will possess a deep understanding of geological principles, extensive experience in mineral exploration and resource estimation, and a proven track record of success in a demanding mining environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and profitability of our client's mining ventures. This position requires a hands-on approach, with significant time spent at the mine site, contributing directly to the extraction and assessment of valuable mineral resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed geological mapping and structural analysis of ore bodies.
- Develop and implement exploration programs to identify and delineate new mineral deposits.
- Perform resource and reserve estimations using industry-standard software and methodologies.
- Oversee drilling programs, including planning, supervision, and core logging.
- Collaborate with mining engineers to optimize mine planning and production based on geological data.
- Prepare comprehensive geological reports, technical memorandums, and presentations for management.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and safety protocols within the mining operations in Culiacán, Sinaloa .
- Mentor and guide junior geological staff,



fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Manage budgets and resources allocated for geological activities.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or Mining Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in geological roles within the mining industry, with a strong emphasis on exploration and resource geology.
- Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, ArcGIS).
- Demonstrated experience in open-pit and/or underground mining environments.
- Strong understanding of geochemical and geophysical exploration techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Culiacán, Sinaloa , and occasionally travel to other company locations.
- Registered Professional Geologist or equivalent certification is a plus.
